Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Message ID+ ("the App", "we", "our", "us") accesses, collects, uses, transmits, stores, shares, and safeguards information when you use messaging, caller identification, spam detection, spam blocking, and related features.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to all features of the App, including messaging, caller information, spam detection, spam blocking, number lookup, in-app settings, diagnostics, and customer support.
2. Permissions and Feature Access
We request only the access needed to provide the features you choose to use. You can revoke access in your device settings at any time, but some features may stop working properly.
- Phone State Access: Used to detect call status so call-related features can work properly during incoming and outgoing calls.
- Display Over Other Apps: Used to display after-call screens and related actions after a call ends.
- Caller ID and Spam Protection Access: If you enable caller identification or spam protection features, the App may process phone numbers related to calls to identify callers, detect suspected spam, and show available caller details such as carrier or general location where supported.
- Messaging Access: If you choose to use Message ID+ for messaging features, the App may access SMS and MMS-related data to send, receive, display, organize, and manage messages.
- Contacts Access: If granted, used to match phone numbers with contact names and profile details stored on your device.
- Notifications: Used to show message and caller-related alerts and actions on your device.
- Storage or Media Access: If granted, used only when you choose to attach, save, import, or export media or files.
3. Information We Collect
- Phone Numbers and Call-Related Data: If caller identification, spam detection, spam blocking, or number lookup features are enabled, we may collect and transmit incoming, outgoing, missed, or searched phone numbers, together with related call metadata such as call time and call status, to provide caller identification, spam detection, spam blocking, and caller detail lookup.
- SMS and MMS-Related Data: If you choose to use Message ID+ for messaging features, the App may access SMS and MMS-related data needed to send, receive, display, organize, and manage messages. If message spam protection is enabled, related message data may also be processed to detect suspected spam.
- Contacts Data: If you grant contacts access, the App may read contact names and phone numbers stored on your device to display names, improve caller matching, and support messaging features.
- Diagnostics Data: We may collect device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance information to maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App.
- Support Communications: If you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address and message content, to respond to your request.

Phone numbers transmitted for these features are used only when these features are enabled and are not used for advertising.
7. Security
- Data in transit is protected with industry-standard encryption such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable.
- Sensitive data such as messages, contacts, and local settings is stored on your device by default unless access, processing, or transmission is required to provide a feature you choose to use.
- We apply technical and organizational measures designed to reduce risks of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- On-device data, such as messages, contacts matched on device, and local settings, remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Server-side data, including phone numbers and related call lookup data processed for caller identification or spam detection, is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, improve, and troubleshoot those features, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn such data was collected, we will delete it promptly.
